The Bird Hide
at the Coorong, South Australia
Welcome to The Bird Hide
Accomodation to suit:
You won't believe how good it is until you've been there. Set in the middle of 2000 acres of revegetated land, a working African Dorper sheep farm, native wildlife sanctuary bordering national park, aboriginal homelands and a world heritage bird watching site, The Needles is a special location.
The Bird Hide offers the absolute comfort of a warm home whilst also being a unique bird hide.
This is Alby Mangels' from "The World Safari" movies, chosen location of all the places he has visited world wide for his home, and if he is resident at the time of your stay he would be happy to share a meal spin a yarn around the campfire, and show you around personally. See how, Alby has created a unique bachelor pad, a place in which he can live in harmony with the wildlife and the environment.
Other features include Alby's shed where you may find unique artifacts, collected throughout his lifetime of travelling, available for purchase.
Half an hour paddling in a canoe will bring you to a hundred mile pristine, surfing beach without another soul.
Hard to believe but true.
You can lie in bed every morning and watch the sun rise and each night you can sit on the balcony and watch the sunset with hundreds of pelicans passing by only metres away.
This is a very secluded property with good karma.
Being a devoted health fanatic, Alby has created his own personal health retreat available for your enjoyment.
Due to the sensitive environment and bird watching retreat, no children and pets please.
